# Why do some of my investments have K3s attached?

K3s are IRS tax documents issued to members of partnerships that have foreign partners. 

While you may not be a foreign partner yourself, we are still required to issue you a K3 if there are any foreign partners in the deal. K3s issued to domestic partners usually contain no information as there foreign activity for a domestic partner.
